seafood in cotswold charlotte

Tatiana welcomes. Raynold cooks.
The Belly of the Whale is the work of a husband and wife.

For more than twenty years, whenever he wasn’t in the kitchen, Raynold spent his time diving and fishing the waters of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Those years continue to shape the menu, which follows the seasons and the catch while drawing inspiration from many culinary traditions.

A few notes

The Belly of the Whale is an intimate dining room with limited seating. Reservations are recommended for the dining room, though they are not required.

The bar and porch welcome walk-in guests whenever space is available. The bar is reserved for guests 21 and over.

Our menu follows the seasons and the catch. As a result, it changes frequently—sometimes daily.

Centered on seafood, we will always do our best to accommodate allergies, but we cannot honor vegetarian requests.

We do not have space for strollers or high chairs.

For parties of five or more, please call us or drop us a note at hello@bellyofthewhaleclt.com.
